Sydney Torana Club - Our Events

Club runs are held on the 3rd Sunday of each month unless otherwise advised. These are many and varied and may include events such as car shows, scenic cruises, BBQ outings, social nights, go-karting and weekend tours which may require overnight accommodation. Social runs are organised on an occasional basis and are open to all. No Torana required, just turn up and enjoy the sociability of our club members.

Sunday 18 May 2008 - Club Run Go-Karts (The battle continues)
Picton Go Kart
Meet Leo's Diner 8.00am for an 8.30am departure.
We'll head down the M5 to the Picton turn-off, then go straight to the circuit where we’ll meet up with the Southern Branch members. We should be at the track by 9.30 and racing is planned to start at 10.00am. Cost is $55.00/driver (watchers and family are free) and this will give you 2 track sessions of about 30 mins each.
Afterwards, we’ll head to the George IV for lunch and an ale or two.
We do need to know approx numbers for booking purposes by 13th May (at our monthly meeting). If you plan on coming please let us know or you might not get a run!

Thursday 29 May 2008 - A Fun Day Out
Wakefield Park No Speed Limit Day
$110.00 for a full day at Wakefield plus $50.00 for an annual licence.
Come and put your driving skills to test on a race track in very safe conditions.
Full details will be confirmed but we will probably meet at Leo's Diner at approx7.30 and then pick up some southern members at Sally's Corner before heading to the track, arriving by about 9.30.
You'll need a helmet, long sleeve shirt and closed in shoes.
It's lots of fun!

Saturday 5th July 2008 - Social Run to West Head
Kuring-gai National Park
Meet at Dawn Fraser Avenue (Outside Olympic Stadium)
Gregorys Map Reference: Map 340 E2
Meet 9.45am for a 10.15am departure
We'll travel through Concord, Lane Cove, Terry Hills, Coal & Candle Creek, Akuna Bay and onto West Head for a BBQ Lunch (provided)
Enrty into the National Park is $11.00 per vehicle.
Bring your camera and binoculars for the spectacular views!

Where:                   Nepean Belle Paddlewheeler
Meeting Place:       Boarding Jetty, Tench Ave, Penrith.
Meeting Time:        6:30pm for 6:45pm boarding.
                               Don't be late, the boat  won't wait! Just ask Pete!
Details:                   7pm-10pm Cruise along the Nepean River including 3-                              course buffet meal, complimentary glass of port,
                              and an appearance from Santa. $58 per adult, $30
                               per  child (3-11yrs).
                              Book in early as there is limited seating available

Sunday 20 July 2008 - Club Run to Nowra
Meet at Leo's Diner, Hume Hwy, Glenfield. (Just south of Crossroads Hotel, Casula) 8:00am, leave 8:30am.
We'll drive down the M5 to Bowral and then on to Robertson to meet up with the Southern Branch members who are on a run of their own to Wollongong. Then down Jamberoo Mountain to Kiama and on through Nowra, turn left at Huskisson turn off for a visit to the Lady Denman Maritime Museum. Entry: Adult $8, Conc. $6, Child $4, Family $20.
