December Run Report

Club Christmas Party
9th December
Bent's Basin Reserve

After a few weeks of severe storms in and around Sydney we were blessed with a hot and steamy (that's the weather) Sunday

36 club members met at the Cross Roads Hotel for the short drive to Bent's Basin  (37 if you count Tony Natoli who called in to say hello before heading off to work).

As is always the case presentations are made at the Christmas Party and this year the prize winners were:

Outstanding Service to the Club in 2007:            Ron Jackson / Ken Scorer Guessing Competition Lolly Jar Winner:             Ben Ashcroft
Christmas Hamper Lucky Door Prize Winner:       Charly

In addition prizes were awarded to various club members for

Peter McGlin ~ a  map because he has a habit of getting lost
Simon Reid ~ a dummy for the best "dummy spit" for 2007

Steve Axisa ~ a  tool kit to help with the recent spate of breakdowns
David Ball ~ a can aerogard to keep those pesky flies at bay

Daniel Dupavillon ~ purple sunglasses to protect his eyes when polishing his car

Sandy Ferrier ~  an apron as he's inherited the title of "Club Cook"

Tim Leggett ~ a tube of toothpaste to keep his smile bright now that he's winning so many trophies

Nella Leggett (Tim's mum) ~ ear plugs now that Tim has the car going so well.

Mick Zawodzinski ~ a dictionary so he can look up more words and have his stories go on even longer.

The BBQ was a success and the day went well with everyone getting on their way home just before another major storm cell rolled through Sydney. All reports have everyone home safe.
