Steve's SS Hatchback project

The car is a genuine SS 5L 4speed from the factory and  never been butchered with A9X flares. (a rare find these days in my eyes )
 
I bought the car from a guy I met at the Torana Fest in Newcastle in 2004. The car was white (with black bonnet) with a black interior (original interior sprayed over with vinyl paint) when I purchased it. I am restoring the car back to original specifications (as close as I know how to)  i.e. original hubcaps, no flares, SS stripes and a standard V8 Engine.
 
 The aim is to make the car look like the car out of the brochure when new using as much new old stock that i can get my hands on. So far i have been able to get some interior parts such as door trims, knobs for the dash, lenses and head light surrounds.The original colour of this particular SS hatch is mandarin red with a beige interior.
