Tim's 1978 LX SLR 5000 project

After a long time of saying "I'm going to do it" - it has finally happened.

The restoration of the old SLR 5000 to include rust repairs, new paint, engine work and new interior started early in 2007.

There was some rust found in the usual places but it was quickly repaired. the painting and engine work went well with only the usual trips back to the panel shop to have minor imperfections repaired.

As with most rebuilds the budget went "out the window" so the trimming and interior will have to wait just a bit longer.
